Time To Bake A Cake

Baking a cake from scratch is versatile tool to have in your baking arsenal. It’s the ideal celebratory treat, for birthday or any event.  They are simple to bake and cake just comes out so perfect every single time! So make your favorite chocolate cake at home and show it off to all of your family and friends. But before you get started baking, there are some tips and guidelines you should follow in order to bake a cake that comes out just as perfectly as the one you purchase from the bakery.

Use Only The Best And Freshest Ingredients

First, you need to have all the ingredients ready before you begin your cake preparation. You’ll need the pastry crust, mixing bowl, bake even strips, non-stick spray, and powdered sugar. In addition, you’ll also need about an hour to prepare your baking area, which may be a simple round wooden table, a mixing board with a non-stick plate, and a microwave safe bowl. If you plan on making more than one cake at a time, you can shorten the preparation time by pre-heating the oven, measuring ingredients ahead of time and lining your bakeware with parchment paper.

Second, you’re ready to come up with the basic recipe for your chocolate cake. This recipe will give you the exact directions for the types of baking powders, flours, and baking times you will need. Take your time to choose the appropriate ingredients for your recipe, which will ultimately determine the texture and flavor of your baked goods.

Third, when your cakes cool completely, you should transfer them from the baking pan to a wire rack. Doing this will prevent the cake from drying out. Make sure that your cake is completely cooled before you ice it.  Warm cakes tasted great but they are trouble when you apply frosting.

Cuisinart Stand Mixer

I always use a stand mixer when I am baking a cake. While a hand mixer will work, a stand mixer does a much better job.  You are adding dry ingredients to wet and you don’t want any clumps.  A good stand mixer will do a great job of blending all of the cake ingredients together.

Now, you’re ready to bake!  Start off by lining each individual cake pan with a piece of parchment paper. Spoon your batter onto the prepared pan, and turn it over so that the first side comes into contact with the waxed paper. Bake the cake in the oven for the time called for in the recipe. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let cool.  Frost the cake and enjoy!
